Mission Outreach and Congregational Care

We are a community of believers that care about each other. We provide rides and meals to those in need. We serve communion to the homebound. Besides taking care ofour own we also reach out to those in the community.  Providing care and support to those among us and around us through fellowship, friendship, and acts of compassion is what Jesus calls us to do.

This is a church active in the world that cares about making a difference and seeks to demonstrate how God's love can change lives.

Third Presbyterian Church has a designated mission project each month which is headed up by the Presbyterian women. This includes collecting items for those in need such as: blankets for the homeless, food for migrant workers on the Eastern Shore, suitcases for the women's shelter, sandwiches for St. Columb and helping other local Norfolk churches with NEST.

In the last year we have added the Labyrinth Garden, the Clothes  Closet and the Community Garden.

We prepare and serve a free Thanksgiving meal to anyone who wishes to join us.

Our Craft group meets regularly and is open to anyone.

Labyrinth

All are welcome to visit and use our Prayer Labyrinth, which is located behind the church. Prayerfully walk the path. At each turn, pause for prayer or reflection.

What is a Prayer Labyrinth?

It is a pattern or maze-style pathway designed for an active prayer experience.
